D-Tech is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the COLONG Ride Home, a fundraising cycle ride, the brainchild of our graphic designer, Guy Clubb.
Guy, Managing Director at GCD, is cycling 280 miles from Scarborough to Ipswich to raise money, and awareness, for Bowel Cancer UK. Setting off on 28th June 2019, he plans to complete the venture in two days and will be joined along the route by friends and family.
“My dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2010. Fortunately, he is still here to tell the tale, but not everyone is as lucky. I want to raise awareness of the disease as well as money to fund vital research into prevention, early detection, treatment and ultimately a cure. The proceeds from the Colong Ride Home will be donated to Bowel Cancer UK, the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity, who support those affected by the disease through quality information, campaigns for change and funding research.
“I’m hoping lots of people will turn out to cheer me on and hopefully join me for a few miles of pedalling, or for a celebratory drink at the finish line. It’s going to be tough but knowing I am raising money for a worthy cause, so close to my heart will keep me going. I would like to thank wi-Q Technologies, D-Tech International and Spokeworx for sponsoring the event and everyone who has visited my JustGiving page and donated so generously,” says Guy.
