How can appIT boost your patron experience?
Issue & Deactivate RFID Tags with a smart device. appIT allows a user’s smart device to issue and deactivate an RFID tag so your patrons can now borrow and renew items using only their smartphone or device. Patrons can also use appIT to checkout and renew items using barcode technology.
Empower patrons. Using appIT, your patrons appIT can check account information including current loans, discover available reservations and pay any outstanding fines online from anywhere in the world. appIT can also display local library information such as address and opening hours, events and what’s on information, social media, library adverts, feedback surveys and facilitate digital messaging with library users.

appIT is compatible with D-Tech’s full serveIT range, as well as those of other suppliers of self-service solutions.
User
appIT’s unique RFID tag reading and deactivation ability utilize NFC (Near-Field Communication), therefore a user’s device must be NFC-enabled to enjoy appIT’s RFID functions. appIT’s RFID functionality is available on any NFC-enabled Apple device with iOS 11 or higher, or any Android device Version 5.1 or newer and NFC capability. To utilize appIT’s barcode functionality, your patrons simply need any app-enabled smart device with a functioning camera.
