24/7 Library Returns

What is returnIT?

Late returns just got a new meaning

Deliver secure, 24/7 library returns with returnIT – the integrated library returns and book sorting system.

In a climate of continually evolving customer expectations, returnIT gives every library the opportunity to modernise your service offering to meet growing user demand. How? Simply by providing secure, integrated library returns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

returnIT is your fully automated book return system. Install within your libraries existing interior walls, to help reduce queues, waiting time and free up library staff, or externally to open your library for returns 24/7.

How will returnIT benefit your library or public space?

Flexible Solution

Designed as a modular system, returnIT is available in a variety of sizes, from a single bin system to 2, 3, 5 or 30 bins, allowing the sorting capabilities of your system to be configured to suit the specific needs, and budget, of your library. For larger, multi-bin returnIT systems, additional feeds can be implemented to speed up your return process even further. Plus, returnIT’s modular design allows you to add as much extra capacity as you need, when you need it.

In the words of one of our satisfied customers “D-Tech understood what our success meant to us.”

Secure and Ergonomic

How does a library user returnIT?

1. A library user places the item they wish to return into the returnIT slot.

2. The returnIT then automatically recognises whether the book belongs to your library.

3. If the answer is yes, the hatch opens and the book is successfully returned, marked as checked in, and, because returnIT integrates with your existing LMS, is discharged from the user’s account.

4. If the answer is no, the hatch remains closed and the user then hopefully returns it to the correct library provider.
