D-Tech International are selected by Oriel College, Oxford for RFID security and self-service.

It is with great excitement that D-Tech International announce their recent RFID implementation in partnership with Oriel College, Oxford University.  D-Tech were selected by the fifth oldest college  in Oxford  to design, supply and install a security, inventory and self-service  package that would be  sympathetic to the  beautiful medieval structure of the library which was founded in 1320.

Having expanded somewhat from  a collection of  98  books in  1375, the library team  opted for help with the tagging of their now very impressive catalogue of approximately 45,000.00 items. The tagging service , provided by D-Tech took ten days to complete  and ensured minimal disruption to the  team and their service.

The college selected a SelfCheck RUBY™ to provide students with the ability to issue , return and renew their own material  and the Plexiglas model of the RFIDGate™ to ensure the security of their  precious collection , along with

GateViewer™ software  to enable them to track any items illegally removed from the library.
